The app’s installs accelerated in 2021, reaching about 214.7 million installs in the first half of 2021, up 61% year-over-year from 133 million in H1 2020. 2. Popular Streamers Leaving Twitch To Join YouTube Gaming (TheVerge) Streamer Ben DrLupo has 1.7 million followers on YouTube and 4.5 million on Amazon’s Twitch. Lupo has signed a deal with YouTube to stream exclusively on YouTube Gaming. Several other well-known streamers like Jack “CouRage” Dunlop and Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter have left Twitch to join YouTube, which gains audiences from Twitch. 3. NFL Inks Sports Betting Deal With Four Sportsbooks (MediaPost) The NFL has inked sports betting deals with four sportsbooks – Fox Bet, BetMGM, PointsBet, and WynnBET – which will become “approved sportsbook operators” for the upcoming 2021 season.
