The company said it now reaches more than 55 million monthly active viewers of ad-supported OTT content. Its new audience reach figure includes Amazon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Fire TV, its set-top-box\/smart TV platform business, and IMDb TV, its ad-supported streaming service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>2. <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/02\/04\/business\/media\/new-york-times-earnings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color:#006325\"> The New York Times Tops 7.5 Million Subscriptions As Ads Decline (NYT)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\">According to the New York Times Q4 reports, it added 2.3 million digital-only subscribers taking the total to 7.5 million new subscriptions for its digital products and print newspaper. Irrespective of the pandemic, the social unrest, and the dramatic presidential elections making most of the headlines, the company could still garner such a whopping subscriber count.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>3. <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adexchanger.com\/podcast\/ad-tech-exits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color:#006325\">Many AdTech Companies Will Go Public In 2021: Beeswax Founder Ari Paparo (AdExchanger)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000\">Beeswax, an Ad Tech backed DSP, raised $15 million in Series B funding which it announced, will be used to support connected TV and win marketer clients. This move might be setting an example for the traditional DSP business model. An initial version of the product is rolling out to benefit users and publishers in Australia. This is an increase of 47 million, or 22%, year-over-year. Snap said Spotlight, its rival for tik-tok, grew to over 100 million monthly active users in January 2021.
