Epsilon claims its early results are sending more revenue to test publishers. PoolHost is the earliest publisher to successfully test and use this program in December.<\/span><\/p>\n

Microsoft Corp is completely in support of the media laws proposed by Australia. The laws would force internet giants, Google and Facebook, to pay domestic media outlets for their content. Microsoft is willing to offer small firms a chance to transfer advertising business to Bing with no costs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Days after the military seized power in Myanmar in a military coup, the country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new government ordered local telecom firms to temporarily block Facebook until February 7 midnight. Government of the Southeast Asian nation alleges that Facebook is becoming the source of causing instability in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. <\/strong><\/span>Parler Social Network Terminates CEO John Matze (The Verge)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

In an internal memo, John Matze says he has been terminated as Parler\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s CEO by its board of directors. He also wrote that he has met with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153constant resistance\u00e2\u20ac\u009d over the past few months to his original vision for the social media platform following the decision of Amazon Web Services to shut down Parler related to the January 6 Capitol riot. .<\/span><\/p>\n

5. <\/strong><\/span>Media Agency New Business Revenue Was Up Nearly 7% in 2020 (MediaPost)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite a slump in the Ad market, media agency new business was up 7% last year. Among the holding companies WPP led the pack with estimated new business revenue of $607 million. Publicis Groupe was a distant second ($345 million) followed by Interpublic ($320 million), Omnicom ($292 million), Dentsu ($239 million), Havas ($154 million), Accenture ($97 million) and MDC Partners (23.4 million). <\/span><\/p>\n

 AppLovin confirmed on acquiring mobile app attribution startup Adjust for $1 billion on Wednesday over a press release. Adjust is a Berlin-based, startup who specialize in app-focused products and services that range from mobile measurement and marketing automation to fraud prevention and cybersecurity. <\/span><\/p>\n

7. <\/strong><\/span>HubSpot To Acquire Business Media Company The Hustle (Axios)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cambridge marketing software firm HubSpot said on Wednesday that it will acquire The Hustle, a media company focused on business news and insights, to enhance the type of content it offers. Kieran Flanagan, the senior vice president of marketing at HubSpot, said in a press release that HubSpot\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s clients have been seeking new mediums for consuming information.
