WhatsApp has published a new FAQ page to its website in response to the widespread backlash over the upcoming privacy policy update. After the tweet of Tesla CEO Elon Musk to his more than 42 million followers saying \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Use Signal\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, Signal became one of the most downloaded apps on Android and iOS with Telegram just behind it that saw more than 25 million new users sign up in the past three days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Co-founder of Signal, Brian Acton, had competed against Facebook and then had sold his instant messaging app to it. It is only a few years ago when he had parted ways with the Facebook – company that made him a billionaire – in a bitter split over messaging and privacy. Acton said the app currently tops on App Store in 40 countries and Google Play Store in 18 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. <\/strong><\/span>Ramble Sues Google for Manipulating Search Algorithm (AdExchanger)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rumble, a YouTube rival that has more than two million creators, filed suit in California against Google, alleging that it is “unfairly rigging its search algorithm” to favor YouTube’s videos in search results. The suit also notes that Rumble has lost ad revenue and viewers due to Google\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s monopolistic practices, including the pre-installation of the YouTube app on Android phones.<\/span><\/p>\n

T-Mobile confirmed that it has awarded its estimated $2 billion U.S. media assignment to Interpublic Group\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Initiative. The award followed a review that began last September and included Sprint which T-Mobile acquired last April. Prende, Spanish for \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcswitch on\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, will include content from across a wide range of genres including Hollywood blockbusters, global television series, comedies, documentaries, children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s programs, and classic sports.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. <\/strong><\/span>CNN Airport News Network Closes by March 31 (Los Angeles Times)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

CNN Airport Network that beamed the cable news channel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s content into terminal waiting areas throughout the country for 30 years is shutting down on March 31. Decline in airline passenger traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of available streaming news video on mobile phones and other internet-connected devices led to the decision.<\/span><\/p>\n
